Happy Sunday! I’m so excited that we’re sitting down for coffee for the first time in 2014. For those who may be new to the blog, or haven’t stopped by in a while, Sunday Morning Coffee is a weekly feature here on the blog where we sit down and recap the week and blog posts I’ve loved over your favorite morning beverage. One of my favorite lazy Sunday activities is sitting, sipping coffee and reading blogs.
I hope everyone had a great first week in a new year. I brought in the new year in pajamas with my dad and little sister, and couldn’t imagine a better way to usher in 2014. This week, I’ve done a lot of writing, for the blog and for myself, and have really been putting things in perspective. Having time off from school and classes always provides time for me to build myself up mentally a bit. I’ve been journaling a lot, and I’ve been feeling a lot better, even with some added stresses, because of it.
Yesterday, my dad celebrated his 52nd birthday! My dad is one of my best friends, biggest cheerleaders, and overall favorite people. I was glad to be home and have time to celebrate the day with him.
Some links I’ve loved this week…
>> Jenni over at Story of My Life recently made some changes to her sponsorship program. Basically, she’s going for less sponsored content and more heartfelt, original content. It’s so easy for bloggers to get caught up in the business side, and forget why they ever began blogging in the first place. It’s really refreshing to see someone more concerned with authentic blogging than dollar signs.
>> In honor of the new year, and everyone setting goals and intentions, Samantha shared 4 Dos and Don’ts for setting fitness goals in 2014. I love her approach to a common new year goal, and I think her advice is spot on for setting your fitness goals through.
>> As someone who definitely knows how to put the pressure on and loves goal setting, Erika’s recent posting on setting realistic goals really hit home. I love how she reminds us to leave some room to be flexible. It can’t be all work and no play!
>>I love how Esmé always shares honest and heartfelt posts, and this one of the fallacy of going big or going home is no different. This post instantly resonated with me, and shed light on some things I’d already been reflecting on. There is so much truth in this post, and definitely recommend digging through Esmé’s archives for more awesome posts.
Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
Love this! Have some great new links to visit and I’m also so happy to be on this list, too, Amber!!! Thanks!

Man, that coffee looks delicious! Loving your blog’s new look as well (though the old one was equally beautiful – you have quite a talent, girl!). Happy birthday to your dad! 🙂
So glad you love the new look! And thanks so much! I’m excited to explore design more this year!
Okay, um, YUM!!! This looks so delicious 🙂 I got a Keurig for Christmas and I have to admit, it has been keeping me away from brewing myself. This looks like just the drink to get me back to (kinda) homemade deliciousness!
