Sorry for the short bout of radio silence on the blog over the past few days, but the last few weeks has been a doozy.
I feel like I’ve been moving a million miles per minute lately. Luckily, there have been lots good things flowing my way, with lots of change thrown into the mix as well. Not to sound like the rest of the internet right now, but life has seriously been serving me up some pretty sweet lemonade. #ThanksBey
My mind has been all over the place, and sitting down to get posts out just hasn’t happened for the past week or so…such is life. I thought it would be a good time to catch up.
At Work
Some of the biggest changes to date have been work wise. A few weeks ago, I had an incredible opportunity present itself to me. One that totally shows the power of maintaining a strong network, and proving to be the type of person other’s keep top of mind. An opportunity so good, in fact, that I put in notice at work to pursue it.
In a little over one week, I’ll be starting a new job, taking on a new adventure in a public relations role with Visit Philadelphia! I’ll be sharing more details on this new venture in an upcoming post.
Even when you leave a job on great terms with exciting challenges up a head, it’s amazing the mix of emotions you go through.
On screen
Someone, please tell me why I decided to embark on the dark journey that is binge watching Grey’s anatomy? I started from season one, and this show has singlehandedly taken me on the emotional roller coaster ride of a lifetime. I’m wrapping up season 11 and I feel my life will never be the same again.
The carousel never stops turning.
For the blog
I’ve been brainstorming a lot of new posts, especially some great summertime in Philadelphia type things! I had an awesome meeting with one of my favorite coffee brands that I think is going to result in some killer social media and blog content that I can’t wait to share!
I’m also working so hard to bring back the At Work With series in full force within the next month or so. It’s important to me to keep the series filled with diverse business owners and career mavens who offer unique perspectives to enhance our own.
A new planner
Whenever there are big changes in my life, I typically seek more structure and organization. So when Erin Condren Life Planners went on sale, I snagged one fast. Now with the new release pending, I may be seeking out another #planneraddict!

Off the bookshelf
I love Emily Giffin and plan to read more of her titles, I just finished Something Blue and am working through Something Borrowed. I’ve also been reading BJ Novak’s Stories and Other Stories. I have way too big of a to read pile right now!
Overall, things are on the up and up! What’s been going on in your life, lately?
Super congrats on the new job!! It seems like you have a lot of updates coming for the blog, can’t wait to see what comes out!
-Danielle
Thanks for the comment, Danielle! I’m excited for everything to come 🙂
Congrats on your new job! / Omg is this a rewatch of Grey’s or first time? I just finished reading When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi, and I feel like anyone that likes watching Grey’s will enjoy reading this book. / I am v excited for coffee -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
Thanks Audrey! This is my first time watching Grey’s –hence why I’m SO torn apart! Thanks for the book rec, I’ll check it out!!
I love your blog. I love how clean and crisp the design is. I am looking to start a blog myself but having a hard time getting started. I picked a name already (although I loved your name) and have started writing blog post already but have not designed my blog. Therefore my blog is not live at the moment.
I also love Emily Griffin too and have read both of those books. Have you seen the movie based off of the book yet?
