Goals, November 2014I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again today, I cannot believe that it’s already November! By this time next month, I’ll be setting my last goals for 2014, reviewing all of the goals I’ve set in the past 12 months, and bringing in a new year. I honestly can’t believe how fast 2014 flew.

Last month’s goal setting post was a bit untraditional, as my goal for the month was pretty large and boldly specific: to place more of myself into this blog. I’ve spent the past 30 days or so brainstorming, drawing, creating and deleting. Writing notes on post-its, hanging them over my desk and then throwing them away days later to be replaced by new thoughts on new post-its. It’s been brilliant and frustrating and a rush of excitement.

Looking back on different experiences that I’ve had, goals I’ve set and questions I haven’t answered and deciding the best way to merge them all together has created quite a wild October. But through it, I’ve found direction and clarity about how much I want to share in this space and how using more of me will help to push the overall mission of this blog. I hope you’re ready!

Some goals for november

+ Announce the ecourse & mailing list. How long have you seen me writing about this?! I’ve gone through a crazy journey while working on this ecourse –everything from naming it to deciding if I was even legitimate enough to see it through. It’s definitely happening, it has a name and I will be officially announcing it here on the blog within the month and hoping up a mailing list for exclusives and more information. Stay tuned!

+ Continue growing and branding Messages to Make You Move. For a while, I thought that was the tagline of my newsletter, but I’ve come to realize that it’s truly the name. I love sending out those messages to the movers and makers who take the time to open them every other Monday. I really appreciate every one of you who reads and responds to my notes, and I only want it to be bigger and better this time next year!

+ Launch a design refresh. I love the design of this blog, but in my journey of adding more to myself I’ve realized a simple way to do just that is by introducing bits of me into the aesthetic. I’ve been playing around in Photoshop, and I’ll be sharing a mood board and post on some of the new things to come!

+ Be thankful. Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I’m so excited. It’s one of my favorite holidays! Though I try and do this every month, this November I really want to focus on expressing, showing and reflecting on things I’m thankful for and appreciating.

Have you set any goals for the new month? If you have, share them with me! Happy goal getting!
