Love is blind, COVID-19 is stressful, Hillary on Hulu is a great watch, and my birthday is ten days away. What a lead in to a new month!
I hope your week was filled with as much hand washing, reality tv and logging off of all social media post Super Tuesday as mine was. Seriously, the range of content/emotions floating around the internet, especially on my timelines, has been weird to say the least. Half of my timeline is still trying to process the end of Warren’s campaign, and come to grips with the fact that once again a woman made her way to the White House only for America to once again tell her, wait your turn.
The other half of my timeline is still losing their minds over Messyca, Amber, Barnett and Mark and holding out for a love as perfect as Lauren and Cameron’s,
Like I said, a weird week. Take care of yourself, and log off when necessary.
Links I Loved…
+ Hitha launched her podcast 1 Smart Thing and, no surprise, it’s great! Highly recommend starting with her Q&A on COVID-19 and her episode on mentorship!
+ I’m a huge fan of Taylor Lorenz’s writing and honestly, consider what she does a dream job! I really enjoyed this interview with her. I think her work covering “youth” and millennial internet culture is only going to become more important.
+ 6 habits to adopt for a healthy brain.
+ A lesson in immigration as told by your favorite Chinese takeout menu.
+ This writer recreated a Love is Blind pod date and honestly, I can totally see this being great for relationships.
+ When I was still in college, Soledad O’Brien followed me on Twitter and tbh, it’s one of my greatest feats to date. I’ve been obsessed with her since her Black in America series and I loved this quick read on her from Rolling Stone.
+ I cannot believe MTV’s hit animated show Daria is over 20 years old, but love that Jodie is getting her due shine.
+ Black femme friendships are everything. Period.
+ Hilary on Hulu isn’t about Hilary. I finished the entire 4 episode series in one sitting and will watch again. Seriously, the patriarchy sucks and men are exhausting.
Happy Sunday
