Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had an awesome and rest-filled weekend.
I’v been taking advantage of the amazing Spring weather to get things in order – organizing, writing and brainstorming. I’ve been putting a lot of work into theย new and improvedย April Newsletter, which I think is going to be awesome. The semester is almost over, and I have a feeling that this is going to be an amazing Summer for me and for the blog!
Last month, I set two simple yet intention-filled goals for myself:ย simplify my eating and bring behind-the-scene projects to center stage.ย Well, one done is better than nothing at all.
I still haven’t felt ready to reveal some of the small features and projects here yet. I’ve had so much going on, and adding one more thing to the pot would just be one thing too many. I’m going to keep holding off on those projects, maybe until Summer when I’ll have more time to give my all to them.
For the rest of the month, I want to keep developing the things I already have in the works. I love starting, putting new ideas out there and generating creative things. But at some point, you have to stop starting and justย work.ย
Some of the things I’m going to keep developing…
- A new creative writing series that may become a link up
- A new weekly feature to showcase my favorite creatives
- The new and improved And Yes To Joy newsletter
- A small online shop!
All of these things have been in the works behind-the-scenes for some time now, and I’m excited to give them all the full attention they deserve.
What are your goals for the month? Are you starting anything new, or working on developing older projects?
I love your goals list, Amber! My big and bold April 2014 list is staring me right in the face right now; it’s one of the only things on my desk. I’d love to revamp my about page (per your blog spring cleaning list!). April is also a client-heavy month for me, so I want to make sure I keep them a priority. The creative writing series sounds amazing. I’d love to read your stuff!
Sounds like you have an awesome productivity-packed month ahead, Jenn! I hope you share some of the behind the scenes deers of your client work, I’m always inspired by your projects!
Great goals! I def need to start working more on some of the projects Ive started as well! I don’t wan’t them to just be pushed back to the end of my priority list. I’m signing up for your newsletter now! Cant wait to read it
Good luck with all of your projects, I’m sure they will be amazing! And thanks so much for subscribing to the newsletter, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy creating it!
Sounds like you have some great tasks on your to-do list for April, Amber + I’m so excited to see how they all play out! I also have a few (hundred?) projects I’m working on + can’t wait until they’re ready to share, so I know the feeling!
I can’t wait for yours too Kayli!
I can’t wait to see what you have up your sleeve! Cheers to being productive and making good things happen!
I’m loving everything on that “in the works” list!! Creative writing would definitely be a fun link up and could be incorporated into different blogs – no matter the pulse of the blog. Excited for all that is ahead for the next month ๐
I’m really leaning towards creating a link up- I love the community here on the blog and would love to create a space for everyone to interactive with each other.
I’m big on goal setting and have been doing pretty well on mines lately. I always have long term and short term goals but wasn’t until recently that I started being extremely active on it. I also have a million ideas for my blog in development, so it’s exciting and inspiring to hear others be so motivated as well! ๐
My blog development gear is always churning, too! Focusing on long and short term goals, being intentional and checking in with yourself is an amazing way to stay on track and truly accomplish things!
I’d love a creative writing series! I’ve realized that I really like participating in those ๐
Thanks so much for your feedback, Asia ๐
I’d love to see the second feature about your fave creatives! I’m always on the lookout for someone who’ll post pretty pictures for me on insta ๐
I’m so excited about getting that feature up and going. So many great creatives are participating!
I’m excited to see how your shop turns out!
In April I just hope to post regularly like I intend to ha
Thats a great goal for the month! Have you thought of getting a notebook or planner to keep your blog ideas going? I’ve found that just having something to plan in keeps me motivated to post regularly!
A Shop?! Look at you go! You’ve come such a long way! Your blog is a center for positivity and productivity!
For this month I set the goal to up my blog posts to 4 times a week, and I’m also hiring an intern to jumpstart my PR for the blog ๐
Yetti! Always a burst of positive encouragement! I am so excited about what’s to come – and I’ll be keeping my eye on you as well! I know that you are going to do INCREDIBLE things, as you already have! Remember to keep me in mind to be a part of the movement with you!
Such a great point about actually getting work done. I finally feel like I have clarity on my brand and this month I’m working on the first draft of a new free workbook for my tribe.
