I’ve posted recently about finding a sense of home when your constantly moving into temporary spaces.
In my quest to accept making the temporary as inspiring and comfortable as possible, I’ve been drawn to reading and viewing home tour after home tour. Especially small spaces and studio apartments.

I’m a sucker for rooms filled with natural light, gorgeous hard wood floors and clean, space saving shelves. I’m a bit of a book worm and want nothing more than to put all of the great titles I’ve read and am reading on display.
And I know that some people find white walls generic and bland, but I love them! They’ll help to enhance the natural light in any room which makes it larger, warmer and more inviting.
Not to mention, I’m all about accessories, and white definitely allows you to do that and more.

And a comfy chair for reading all of the books on those shelves. Does anyone else find that no matter how rested you are, reading in bed at any time of day is super nap inducing?
Can’t just be me!

A space to decompress, to be productive and mentally unwind is exactly what I’ll need in my next space. It’s more about the values I hold that should shine through into my space than where or what the space is in and of itself, I’m realizing.
Leases, landlords and life changes will likely keep me in various apartments in the years to come, I’m slowly accepting that. But I can carry these values with me into any space I live. They’re always constant.
And that matters.
What are some of your favorite interior design and decor blogs? I’d love to see the home tours and designs that inspire you and your spaces!
Uhhh, I need all of this. OK, fine, that’s a want. BUT STILL. I just moved into a new apartment & am spending the weekend putting things in place. I’ve got a long way to go!
