It never ceases to amaze me how much inspiration I get through reading. I’ve always been a book worm, but lately I’ve appreciated getting lost in the aisles of Barnes and Noble so much more.
I’ve been sharing bits and pieces on the titles I’ve been digging into, but I wanted to compile a full list of my 2015 reads. I’ll be posting my thoughts on most of these, and to help keep thing organized I’ve created a blog bookshelf which you can check however often you’d like. There, I’ll be updating which books I’ve finished, giving a rating out of 5 and linking to a review (if I wrote one).
Let’s dig into these reads.
On Creative Business & Leadership
- Manage Your Day-to-Day (my review here)
- Maximize Your Potential (currently reading)
- Make Your Mark
- Start With Why
- The Obstacle is the Way
- Thinking Fast and Slow
Fiction
- Gone Girl (no, I will not watch the movie before I finish this!)
- Veronica Decides to Die (Note: Paulo Coelho is one of my favorite authors and I hope to read all of his titles)
- Americanah
- Everything I Never Told You
- Astonish Me
Living Better
Memoirs
There are 18 titles in total listed above, and I’m excited to dig into every one of them in the remaining nine months of 2015. I’ll be sure to share when the Bookshelf is fully up and running and when new ratings/reviews are added.
What’s on your reading list this year? Any other titles I just HAVE to read?
There are some great reads in here, I can’t wait to go through and add them all to my wishlist!

Let me know which ones you add to your list and how you like them!
Great list! I hadn’t heard of the 99u books but will be putting those on my list to check out.
They’re really inspiring and always leave me with some food for thought!
I love these suggestions! If you are an audiobook gal, I totally suggest listen to Bossypants! It’s so awesome to hear Tina Fey read her book! 🙂
Oh I’ve never tried audio books before. Hmm. Maybe I will!
Great picks! I just finished reading Gone Girl and then saw the movie. I always read the book first, I think it makes both more enjoyable that way. Have fun reading!
Yes I always love reading the book first!
This is such a great idea! Love your picks.
Thanks Mia!!
Definitely add The Girl on the Train to your fiction list! I just finished that one in two days this week; it’s sooo good!
I’ve heard really good things about that one! I may need to add it to the list
I’d highly recommend Americanah and Yes Please- I hope you love both! I’ve also been meaning to watch the Gone Girl movie, but I want to reread the book first!
I always read the book first and never regret it!
Oh gosh you MUST read Veronika Decides to Die! I first read it in my teens and have re-read it countless times. It’s AMAZING! x
Madeleine, The Daily Mark
I’m so excited for it now!!
I literally just finished Americanah and I am enamored with Chimimanda. I absolutely freaking loved it!
Everyone is raving about it. I can’t wait to start!!
I love all of these books. I have so many books that I want to read.
Sitting down with a good book is a great way to destress at the end of the day for me!
I have so many I need to read. I usually listen to a podcast before bed!
Americanah is on my must-read list, and I am ALL for anything Coehlo! I started reading Bossypants a little while ago and forgot to pick it back up! Thanks for the reminder!
I hope we both make it through Bossypants this year. And yes, anything Coehlo writes, I’ll read over and over!
