I can’t believe that this year is almost over. Before we know it, we’ll be watching the ball drop, celebrating another year past and ushering in 2014.
I learned a lot about myself this year, as I do every year. Blogging was a crucial resource to me as this year came to a close. With the launch of a new blog and a new brand, I feel more ready than ever to really push myself, and work towards making those dreams in the back of my notebooks a reality.
A lot of the things I want to do require me to step way outside of the limits of my comfort zone. As scary as that feeling may be, the feeling of “what if” is ten times more frightening.
There are a few things that I really want to channel my energies into at the start of the new year:
Creating the ‘And Yes To Joy’ Newsletter. This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a while now. I hope to have my first little dose of inspiration in inboxes by the end of January.
A New Series. After the Learn + Love Your Blog series proved to be such a success, I knew I wanted to get another one together. It will begin at the start of the year, and I couldn’t be more excited about it! I don’t want to reveal what the series will focus on just yet, but I’m thrilled about it.
Offering Premium Downloads. I’ve had such an entrepreneurial spirit within me this year. One of the major thoughts I had in mind when I first re-branded was that I wanted my brand and blog to be marketable, and to generate business. It is so important for me to be self-sufficient, and I know that I’m more than able.
Design. I’ve been resisting this for a while, but there is no denying that I love designing, building brands, making blogs feel like home to bloggers. In 2014, I absolutely want to open my own design shop! I’ve been writing and planning and gethering feedback for a while now. I’m hoping to have this launched by late February/ early March.
Are you thinking about your goals for 2014 yet? What’s on your agenda?
These are SUCH awesome goals, Amber! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in 2014! (Have a feeling it’s gonna be pretty awesome:)
Thanks so much, Allie! I appreciate the encouragement!
Knowing you, it’ll be a success! I want to focus on my photography more. Build up my portfolio.
Aw thanks so much!! I’ve always wanted to try photography… I’m just a lot better at manipulating them after someone else has taken them!
You rocked ’13 and I am so glad that we got to connect through blogging, because you are one of my FAVORITES ever. EVER. I know you’re going to be amazing in ’14!!!!! I can’t wait to see the design that you’ve been cooking up + DOWNLOADS AND A SHOP? LOVE IT.
This year I’m going to be working on getting my personal training certification done, further settling into grad school, and expanding my concept for The Happy Type. This year is going to be AMAZING.
Crystal, I don’t even know how to put into words how FABULOUS AND INCREDIBLE of a friend you are. I am so happy that we were able to connect, you’re the best!
I know that you are going to KILL IT BIG TIME in the Physical Training game, and i can’t wait to be working out to your videos some day!
If you ever want to talk blog branding and goals, holla at ya girl anytime 🙂
Sounds AWESOME, all the best for the new year girl. I love the sound of your series, I am definitely looking forward to that! Your blog is awesome and I know you’ll be bringing the BANG for 2014.
One of my major goals for 2014, is the rebranding and relaunching of my women-focused network and blog for 20-30 something year olds, For Women to Women, that is what I am excited about and I can’t wait.
Xo.
Woo! I love a good rebranding!!! I can’t wait to see all that you do in 2014 as well, so please keep in touch & share often!
This all sounds fantastic! I’m afraid to set proper goals for the new year… I think I’ve got too much to do right now and it’s scaring me a little. The one goal I do have is moving to the UK (preferably London), which is also kind of terrifying to think about at times BUT I’M DOING IT. Deep breath. Yes.
I’ve decided that instead of setting new years resolutions or even goals for that matter, i want to focus on a list of intentions. It just seems less pressured to me, if that makes sense, to create a list of things I intend to do in order to better myself.
I cannot wait to hear more about your move, I hope that it is helpful to you! I know you will accomplish great things, you’re so talented!
