What books I read in April and May book releasesApril was not my best reading month whatsoever.

Between traveling for work and getting ready to launch SPoT (thanks for the wonderful feedback on the rebrand, btw) –reading definitely fell to the backburner.

Also, I won’t lie, I watched a ton of tv and binged watched lots of series because after a long day, I just wanted something I wouldn’t feel back falling asleep on. Holding a book and fighting off sleep didn’t fit. I think I’m finally finding my way out of this reading slump, luckily.

So this month, I’m sharing the one book I managed to finish in the month of April and (to make up for the lack of list), sharing some May book releases I’m super excited about. And if you all like hearing about upcoming book releases, let me know in the comments!

My Not So Perfect Life by Sophie Kinsella

I picked this up because it looked like the perfect read to bring along for my flight and trip to Miami. I was so right! I loved the characters and thought this was a great look at how social media obsessed young professionals can be. Making your life look Instagram perfect to cope with the fact that nothing is working out quite like you planned. Definitely pick this up if you want a light, easy and realistic read.

  1. Ah I totally forgot to reply to your reply to my comment on your Instagram about this book! I actually wrote a review on my blog HERE if you’re interested in checking it out; I thought it was a solid and light/fun read 🙂 I’ve got a soft spot for Sophie Kinsella novels–my childhood! // Yes definitely interested in hearing about upcoming book releases! Since joining Netgalley, new releases have been on my radar, but it’s always interesting to see what catches other people’s eyes. Are you part of Netgalley? -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

    1. Hey Audrey! I’m not on NetGally (mostly because I already have so much to read) but I know lots of people who are! I may start adding new releases to my reading wrap ups!

I felt the same way about ‘My Not So Perfect Life.’ –such a great, light read and perfect book to take during traveling! I’ll definitely read your review 🙂
