Tuesday To DoThis week (for some) is short and ends with an extended weekend, meaning things need to really get done before we head into vacation mode.

Still, it’s so easy to get caught in the trap of overloading yourself with tasks to the point that nothing actually gets done. The purpose of the series is to break the myth that once you’ve gotten off track, you can get back. It’s simply not true! Just because Monday wasn’t your best doesn’t meant that you can’t show up, show off and reclaim your week later.

When I catch myself being unproductive, lacking focus or severely underperforming, it helps me to just hit the reset button, start over and give myself a fresh beginning, wherever I am.

Tuesday To Do: Hit Reset

This may look like shifting your focus and opting to work on other tasks rather than the ones you’ve been focused on. Or starting on a more personal note, changing the ways you’ve been treating yourself so that you feel better and are able to work better. When was the last time you put yourself to bed early, worked out or ate a meal that didn’t come in a box?

However you need to do it, take today to hit reset. Give yourself a moment to refocus on what you’ve been trying to accomplish in the first place instead of loading more tasks onto your list.

Now, if you’re thinking: I have sooo much to do, there’s no time to reset, think again. This doesn’t have to be a long and drawn out process. In fact, it shouldn’t be. Here are some things I do to hit my reset button that take 30 minutes or less:

Whatever things allow your mind and body to relax so that you can focus and work effectively, do those! You’d be surprised at how it increases your productivity.
