Tuesday To Do: Reassign and ConquerHow many times have you heard productivity wiz kids advising you to master your Monday  or to remember that starting your week on a productive high is the key to finishing strong.

Honestly, I may have been one of those wiz kids at one point, but not today. I’m introducing this new series, Tuesday To-Do as a reminder that it’s not how you start, but how you finish that matters. Each week, I’ll share a quick tip on how you can supercharge your week, even if Monday was a dud.

If you’re already killing your Monday’s, this will help amp you up to the next level. But if you’re still clinging on to Sunday and need help catching up, these posts will be the boost you need.

I plan on keeping them short and to the point, so let’s just in!

Reassign and Delegate

Have you ever gotten home on a Monday night only to realize all of the looming to do list items that aren’t crossed off of your list? It can definitely cause some anxiety, and have you feeling like there will never be enough hours in the day.

But there are, you just have to assign and commit them wisely. Pull out your planner, and map out hour by hour your commitments for the week. Any meetings or appointments should already have times attached. Other tasks may need to be put on a time table.

Then, in priority order, place each to-do item that wasn’t accomplished on Monday and commit to doing it at a certain day or time. Lock it into your calendar and treat it like a brow appointment (because you wouldn’t miss that).

Now the hardest part, commit to following through. You know you have the time now, so it’s up to you to commit to being motivated enough to follow through.

The point of this task is to get the things you need to accomplish out of the someday, if I ever have time category and into the definitely X day at X’o clock category.

  1. This is such a great idea and it is all too often that I find myself bummed about my Monday-still-to-do’s. Thanks for sharing and I’m pumped for this series!

      1. Yep, totally slept the morning away (perks of being unemployed) and then I possibly broke my toe, so I spent most of the day on the couch and in bed. Getting back on track can wait for another day!

        1. Oh no! I hope you’re feeling better and that your toe is okay! It’s definitely fine to take breaks when our bodies need extra rest 🙂
