Sunday Morning Coffee / PHL Coffee Adventure Elixr CoffeeHappy Sunday, friends!

How was your week? I feel like the first week of a new month is always pretty hectic -especially with the realization that we are already halfway through the year.

This week was definitely a hectic one for me, but exciting nonetheless. I mentioned on Friday that I’m rebranding and starting fresh. I spent the weekend prepping lots of things for the new blog -preparing the editorial calendar, reviewing all of your (incredibly awesome & helpful) survey responses, and working on brand identity and logo concepts. It’s all been really exciting and inspiring to work on, and I can’t wait to share more of the process and end result with all of you.

Saturday was definitely my favorite day of the weekend. I spent the afternoon coffee shop hopping and city exploring with Jordan. I invited her to tag along as I explored a new coffee shop for today’s post. Nothing makes me happier than good coffee and great friends. We took time to chat, blog and enjoy the summer weather -everything that the PHL Coffee Adventure is about!

This week, I popped into Elixr Coffee and had an amazing iced coffee (pictured above). I added vanilla, creamer and cinnamon to sweeten my deal, but I definitely could have enjoyed this brew black. I loved the warm and work-friendly atmosphere there, and it’s definitely on my list of places to return to. All of the baristas were super friendly and helpful, and helped Jordan and I find our way to our ideal brews. After Exlir, we popped over to Miel Patisserie for macarons and blogging.

Here are some snaps from my cafe hopping, plus my favorite links from the week…

+ Awesome post & great points on customizing your search bar in WP.

+ Some wise words (and my current iPhone wallpaper) from Celestine of Fernaly.

+ Wit & Delight posted an awesome rose water and hibiscus spritzer just in time for this summer weather.

+ I loved watching this hand letting flip through by Miranti.

+ Holly shared her blog post creation process. It’s always inspiring to see how other creatives approach creating for their spaces.

+ I absolutely loved this (incredibly well written) post on discussing the #YesAllWomen hashtag with your children.

How was your weekend? I hope as relaxing and focusing as mine was! New week, here we come!

  1. love these links! all the Philadelphia bloggers I follow are making it look so tempting! hope to visit there soon those macarons look delicious!

  2. My weekend was.. simple. I watched season 2 of Orange Is The New Black and got a lot of much needed rest after a long week. And now, on a humid Sunday night I am getting my life together to do it all over again, lol. I like your idea with these posts. And I LOVE Philadelphia!! I’ll be sure to visit one of these shops the next time I go.

    1. Simple weekends are truly my favorite. Sunday Morning, I woke up so ready to work (I always schedule these posts the day before) but instead spent the day out in the city with my best friend -which was honestly much needed.

Definitely stop by one of these shops next time you visit! Last week, I went to Menagerie in Old City, equally as amazing (best latte ever).
