smc1215Happy Sunday, happy weekend, happy happy everyone. I’m so excited that finals week is over, another semester is complete, and I finally have time off from school. I’m so happy to have time this break to focus on my internship, the blog & other exciting projects. Sharing the post on my 2014 focus was so exciting! I cannot wait to watch everything come to fruition. I have so many creative goals and ideas, and I just know that 2014 is going to be my year.

I won’t bore you with all of the details of finals week. All went well, and I feel good about my exams. This semester was incredibly hard for me: academically, spiritually, financially, mentally and physically. There were so many nights that I just wanted to pack up and go home. I questioned why I was here, why things weren’t going the way I thought. Why it seemed so much easier for everyone else.

Through a little reflection, I’ve realized this season was just a hard season for me. This isn’t a sign that I’m not where I’m meant to be, or that I’m wasting my time. Occasionally, we go through rough patches. But the most important takeaway is that we go through them. Meaning they’re temporary, and better days are ahead.

I see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s distant, but I can see it and focus on it.

Blogs were a great relief and filled many of my study breaks this week. So I’m excited to share some posts I loved this week…

+ Juni who runs her own Esty shop was also in the middle of finals week. She’s just finished up a semester for her BFA, so her finals week was definitely more creative than mine. She is also recently engaged! Congrats!

+ This month always gets me in a holiday state of mind, so I’ve been loving all things Christmas and craft. This DIY rosemary mini wreath place cards project that Jessica of Coco and Mingo shared.

+ Angel of Studio 404 chatted with freelancer Anna of The Deeming Place on managing time and projects during the holiday season. I think this post is great for freelancers and bloggers trying to manage time during this busy time of year.

+ Jess reminds us in her quotable post that just because 2013 didn’t go according to our road map, doesn’t mean that we are off track! Finding the guidance and ray of hope from your mistakes is a beautiful gift.

+ Lisette of Northern Belle Diaries shared a touching story about her encounter with her guardian angel. I’ve never had an experience like this before, but I definitely believe in angels.

  1. I am glad to know you finally made it through the semester and you didn’t quit. I know exactly what it feels like, but girl, later will be GREATER! And that quote by Jess, also reminded me that bad days are not meant to break us, but to build our character.
