My Style Wish List with Avenue 32If you asked me to describe my style in one word, it would be this: nonexistent.

Okay, so that may be a bit dramatic! When it comes to me and my relationship with style and fashion, I’ve never placed myself at the center of the scene. I love clothes; I view them as art just like I few other forms of design. Still there’s never really be a part of me that would consider myself stylish.

Most days, I reach for (something clean, please) my comfortable go-to items: jeans, leggings, and of course –yoga pants. I love taking simple pieces from my drawers and combining them to reflect my mood at the moment. And when I combine the pieces with a bold lip stick? You know I’m having a great day!

I’m always on the go, balancing a full planner and fighting my way through post-it notes filled with to-do items. So, just like everything else in my life, my clothes need to be accommodating and work with me, not against me.

When Avenue 32 reached out to me to collaborate on a post featuring some pieces from their site, I knew creating a wish list of things that represent me or that I’d love to see in my collection would be too fun to pass up. I wanted to create a list true to my personality, to my take on the fashion scene and that I could actually see myself sporting on the daily.

Tops: I’m a huge fan of tops that are breathable, feminine and relaxed. I never dabble much with crazy prints or bold colors; even when dressing for internships or work. Like I said, the more relaxed I can be, the better. Also, because I’m constantly running, I try to avoid white tops…only to avoid the coffee stains that ultimately come along with them.

Shoes & Accessories: I’m pretty no fuss when it comes to shoes: sandals and flats in the summer, flats and boots in the fall and boots in the winter. I learned quickly that if you cross a lot of city streets on snowy/rainy winter days, brace yourself with shoes that help avoid slipping in the crosswalk!

Bags! Bags! Bags! Can you tell I have a thing for bags?! I may not be the type to spend hours trying on jeans and tops in a store, but I will spend HOURS searching and coveting bags. I’ve been searching for the perfect tote for a while, and these bags definitely sparked some inspiration.

I hope you all enjoyed getting a peak into my style! Tell me about yours? What are you must have items? Do you consider yourself stylish?

  1. I do NOT consider myself stylish at all! At the beginning of my freshman year of college, I made an effort to dress well, which wasn’t too hard, as the weather was wonderful and I could get away with wearing a dress, but now it’s FREEZING and all I want to do is wear sweats! I do love the multi-checked and polka-dotted tops 🙂 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
