Life Lately / 02(image credit)

Long time no talk, huh?! If you’ve stopped by here in the past few days, you probably noticed that I was having some technical issues. Luckily, everything is resolved and no content was lost, which is what I’m most grateful for. I’ll be sharing a post on ways to preserve your content and what to do when your blog goes a bit haywire.

But for now, I just wanted to check in with all of you. Something always feels off when I go without posting. How have you been?

Reading / The Good Daughters by Joyce Maynard. I picked up this book because I needed something to read to get my mind out of real life for a bit. I’m about 100 pages in and it’s a great, easy read. The story of two girls, who appear drastically difference in terms of personality and upbringing, who are born on the same day and how their lives intermix.

Creating / On lot’s of new things for the blog! I recently had an inspiring chat and consultation with Kory about what I want to create here and ways to make more useful content for you all. I’m inspired, tweaking my editorial calendar and setting plans for the future. The Ember & March Facebook page went live over the weekend.

Wanting / Lot’s of ice cream and fresh fruit. I miss waking up and making delicious and filling smoothies every day.

Writing / I’ll be sending out the first Ember & March newsletter next Monday, so make sure you’re on the list.

Listening to / Podcasts! I’ve only recently hopped on the podcast bandwagon. I’ve been Loving Elise Get’s Crafty and After the Jump.

Viewing / Orange is the New Black! Jordan introduced me to the show and I binged watched all of season 2 over the weekend, while restless sitting on the edge of my seat! Such an amazing series. I’ll be starting House of Cards next.

That’s all for me, what about you? How’s life lately? Share in the comments!

  1. House of Cards is good. Orange is the New Black is better (I’m half way through season 2 now), but Breaking Bad is where it’s at… I’m starting season 3 this weekend. I feel like I watch too much TV, but I can’t turn away.

  2. Eek! So happy to hear that you’re feeling inspired after our session. I’m excited to see what you’ve got going on behind the scenes here!

Also – huge yes to OITNB. I binged the second season in 2 days, and then I watched it again because I didn’t know what else to do with myself, ha!

P.s. I had to be very conscious about my exclamations here, haha. Why can’t we just all use them all the time?! 🙂

    1. Kory, you have NO idea how helpful your recs were!!

Let’s start a new group called exclamatory creatives and celebrate our obsession haha!!! << no shame!
